Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose finally made his rescheduled appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Axl confirmed the online rumors that he was set to join AC/DC and announced plans to perform with both bands during their upcoming tour.
Under the new deal, AC/DC will be the opening act for Guns N’ Roses and Axl will perform for both bands every night during the tour. The upcoming Guns N’ Roses reunion tour is expected to be one of the top grossing tours of all time.
“Some nights, for fun, we’re going to switch the bands. AC/DC will play Guns N’ Roses songs and Guns N’ Roses will play AC/DC songs. Of course, I will still be on stage both sets so the fans don’t miss out on seeing the greatest singer, musician, and visionary of all time!” Axl said during the special interview.
Rose admitted he had to give up his expensive fried chicken habit in order to get in shape for the new GNR tour, especially now that he will essentially be performing two shows per night.
“It’s no secret that I love fried chicken. Everybody knows that. It’s truly my primary passion in life. I spent a few years chasing the perfect bucket of chicken but I now know that’s a myth. I had to get back in shape, man.” Rose said of his intense workout regimen.
Industry experts agree that Guns N’ Roses and AC/DC could gross more than one billion dollars in ticket sales this year. Axl Rose has been training harder than ever for the tour and appears to be in great shape.
