Avoid Kill Pens, Homes Urgently Needed

Blunt Betty is ill. Not flu or cold ill, but seriously ill right now. I have to move horses out to good homes soon. Medical treatments will be starting quickly once the rest of the tests are done and I will not be able to focus on animal rescue when Blunt Betty has to rescue herself. It is not fair to leave the girls with all of this to do on their own.

If you know of any good families interested in taking one of these horses please let me know.

Here are the horses looking for families. Some are strictly free lease. The dressage horse will have to be leased by very experienced dressage rider as he is already trained in 2nd and starting 3rd levels. He gets cranky if you do not know what you are doing in the saddle. He has issues with lameness so this horse cannot be used as serious dressage horses. He is also an ex event horse and can do hunter but not jumper any longer. If you are looking for a horse to lease for some local fun competition, this gelding would be perfect. The other horses are green broke. Some are terrified and need a patient hand. These photos were taken when they arrived at the kill pen I am assuming because when they arrived at our rescue from the kill and quarantine they had loss much of their weight shown in these pics. Some are still struggling to gain that weight back on so would need to have a good feed programming moving forward to keep the progress going. Please message me for details on any of these horses, prices, etc.

Please only responsible homes, no flippers and dealers. These horses have already been through the auctions the meat buyers the flippers and the dealers. they don’t need to be thrown back into that loop. And I would be betraying the people who donated the monies who bailed them from the kill pen only to send them back to the kill pens again.
