The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a three-year, $36 million contract with pitcher J.A. Happ.

Happ appeared in 58 games for the Blue Jays between 2012 and 2014, pitching to a 19-20 record. He was traded to the Seattle Mariners in the deal that brought Michael Saunders to Toronto.

After struggling with Seattle to open the 2015 season, the left-hander was dealt to the Pittsburgh Pirates at the trade deadline, where he posted a 7-2 record with a 1.85 ERA over 11 starts.

In 196 career outings (171 starts) Happ owns a 62-61 record with a 4.13 ERA.
