Three People Killed in Cell Phone Dispute

Jamaica – Three people were shot and killed this afternoon at a cook shop in Paradise, St. James, in what Police say was a dispute over a damaged mobile phone.

The cook shop operator and two persons who were reportedly lounging at the business place, were shot and killed in the incident.

Head of the St. James Police, Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor says he’s shocked by the incident.

SSP McGregor says too many simple disputes are ending up as murders in the parish.

According to the senior Policeman, too many persons have access to guns in St. James.
